Eco-Nuts Out to Destroy Life As We Know It.

It isn't even Halloween yet and the weirdo's are out in force calling for an end to many things most feel are a part of modern life. They would roll back the clock to 1900 and do away with the car, the modern light bulb, the big screen TV(and later TV altogether), the plastic bag(which just a few years ago they favored to save the forest from being destroyed by using paper bags), the beloved family dog and cat, and yes even the steak you eat. These eco-nuts see humans as the greatest threat to the planet they pretend to love and if the truth was know they would do away with mankind to save the planet for whatever groups of animals they consider to be eco-friends. That of course would leave out all large animals such as Rhinos(not a bad idea, but I would change the spelling), horses, cows, camels, pigs, donkeys, etc. The list would go on and on and eventually include the large fish in the ocean. These people are of course the lunatic fringe, sadly however many on the left have adopted some of these seemingly crazy ideas. Efforts are already underway in CA to ban big screen TV's, the traditional light bulb is in the process of being replaced by a mercury filled bulb, plastic bags are out-lawed in many areas, some schools now have meat free days, governments already limit family size in some countries, and these are but the first steps to drastically change our lives to conform to what eco-nuts believe is a life style necessary to save the planet from global warming and rising sea levels. Maybe, just maybe if they would stop and think about their goal of saving the planet they would just let us continue down the fatal path they think we are on and this in the end would save the planet when we all drown in the rising waters of the great oceans.
While Al Qaeda and eco-nuts use different tactics, they share a similar enemy: civilization.

Around the globe on Saturday environmental protesters tried “a synchronized burst of more than 4,300 demonstrations, from the Himalayas to the Great Barrier Reef,” according to The New York Times.

The sweeping October 24 protest was to bully developed nations like the United States into a climate change agreement when they meet in Copenhagen this December.

The 350.org protesters, who want to drop CO2 in the atmosphere to that level, were especially critical of the United States:

“You have destroyed nature with your industrial waste and gases more than any other nation in history. Despite this, you refuse to sign the Kyoto agreement so that you can secure the profit of your greedy companies and industries.”

Oops, that’s wasn’t the eco-nuts, that’s a direct quote from Usama bin Laden in 2002. --While Al Qaeda and eco-nuts use different tactics, they share a similar enemy: civilization.

At least Al Qaeda is clear about what it wants -- an end to Western civilization and establishment of global Shariah law -- the Islamic version of cave men times with better architecture.

The eco-nuts have a patchwork of things they hate and want banned or destroyed. The week of the 350 protests, The Times wrote glowingly about the Swedes are now including carbon footprint labeling on all food. The Times’ Elisabeth Rosenthal was quick to point out “changing one’s diet can be as effective in reducing emissions of climate-changing gases as changing the car one drives or doing away with the clothes dryer, scientific experts say.” I love it when people who have a huge subway system at their disposal bemoan the automobile.

The new labeling guidelines were a predictable attempt to manipulate what people eat. “[T]hey are advised to substitute beans or chicken for red meat,” the October 22 article proclaimed. The left hasn’t bestowed human rights on beans…yet.

Two days later, London’s Daily Express complained that Fido was a global threat as well. “A medium-sized dog has the same carbon impact as a Toyota Land Cruiser driven 6,000 miles a year, a new book claims,” wrote the paper. It went on to blast pets -- from cats to hamsters -- because they use energy. Now I guess lefties can blame previous warming cycles on buffalo (or their SUVs). read more from FOX

  1. The environmentalist want to control every aspect of our lives, you did a great job of listing all of the ways that they wish to do so. They aren't content with living their lives the way that they see best, they demand that we live our lives the way that they want us to.
You mentioned that they would do away with humanity if they could, I remember hearing on a program once that there actually were people who advocate the eventual elimination of the human race.
These people are out of control and the scary part is that they are beginning to get a grasp on some of our politicians.

  2. Must I say it? These people are simply stupid. Just out of curiosity, what the heck is wrong with a big screen TV? I don't even have a small screen TV, but do the big ones use that much more energy?

If they don't like pets, they would surely throw themselves a fit over the 50+ homing pigeons I have in my backyard.

The FOX News article does bring up one very important point. They act as if they can not stand an automobile, yet they have access to the subway system. How do they expect those of us who have to have a car to get around to make do? Or do they not care one whit about how we make do? I would tend to believe it is the latter.

  3. I wonder what kind of "environmental impact" elephants have on the planet? Maybe we should wipe out all wildlife to save the environment?

  4. Big screen use more energy than regualar screens and regular screens use more energy than small screens and small screens use more energy than no screens----see where its heading. Junk your TV and make an Eco-Nut happy for about 1 minute until they see your dog.

  6. Was raised on the farm with plently of beans and greens and sometimes chicken on Sunday and pork in the fall after the first frost(hog-killing time). Many squirrels, possums, coons and quail on the menu during hunting season and often out-of-season. Yep, I'm a meat eater when I can get it so get off my back you green nut-jobs.

  7. Ron, There are certainly misguided attempts to address the problems our planet faces. But are you trying to say there are no problems associated with unlimited population growth and the waste that goes along with it? Should we just continue to dig up West Virginia and burn it in electric generation plants?

  8. I'm with TexasFred. Let's all eat lots of beans. Then these "green" weenies won't know what hit them. I am all for taking drastic measures. Maybe, we could make these enviro weenies eat bugs which are considered a delicacy in some places?

  9. You always make good points David and I appreciate that. I've been an outdoor person all my life and I see environmental abuse up close--like clear cutting of beautiful forest land and I deplore such things and could suggest better ways to obtain the wood the country needs. I hate to see land gutted in W VA--strip mining is not a pretty site. The scars on the land will take years to heal. Unfortunately an industrial society needs power and the life styles and indeed the economic welfare depends on a plentiful supply of energy. Clean energy is perferred, but until such time as that is avaiable we must use what we have. I favor more off-shore drilling as it is clean and for the most part safe. I would also like to see the construction of many new nuclear power plants. However, there are those in this country who would condemn and destroy the traditional power sources and rush headlong into the unknown in the name of saving the planet from what I belief is a false assumption of Man-made Global Warming. AS clean environment is desired by all and the issue is how do we get there with the least pain to our economic well being.

  10. I starting to feel bad Teresa---I've eaten bugs on several occasions. Certain types of crickets when fried in possum fat can be quite tasty. I'm a greenie, just not one of the extreme kind in that I love a clean environment and the great outdoors, but not at the expense of my family's well being. And I'm certainly not foolish enough to think that man is causing global warming---this is a special interest lie with its ultimate goal of wealth distribution. The great environmentalist are those those urban city dwellers, but we conservatives who live in the sticks and know the value of mother nature and all her beauty.

  11. Their actions and words defy all logic. How do you have a rational debate with someone like that? You can't.

  12. Those on the far left environmentalist movement will not listen to reason for they see man as the problem and if they had their way they would introduction drastic population control and seek to control almost every aspect of our lives--food, energy consumption, pets, everything they see as a threat to mother earth which is really their god!

  13. Having a sarcastic moment...

If the environazis want us to live like hunter-gatherers, they need to lead by example. If they want to turn us into soylent green, they go first. Somehow, like Al Gore, they have a hard time leading by example.

  14. I am headed out to hunt and gather or rather kill and grill.

Deer this weekend. Elk the following week. Then a late deer season.

I am a conservationist. I crave meat. I like beans too. They make a great combination.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. The green movement is nothing but tax payer subsidized profiteering!

So they can watch me help my meat to my families table.

  15. Ron, Glad to hear you are a nature man too!
"I've been an outdoor person all my life and I see environmental abuse up close--like clear cutting of beautiful forest land and I deplore such things and could suggest better ways to obtain the wood the country needs."
Clear cutting? It's more economical than selective harvesting. It would take some form of "government regulation" which would send the timber industry into a fit. And that would be bad from a land use rights standpoint. Point is, we are all Americans, and profit as a motive does not always compliment the national interest. That 200 acre tract of land that was beautifully forested prior to clear cutting is far more than a visual blight. It costs the general public, such as the cost attributed to siltation of our public reservoirs and the shipping lanes in our rivers and harbors. Same goes with strip mining. In the long run, these are costs that are absorbed not by the coal producer or the timber man, but by us, the taxpayers.
Some may call me a socialist, but they are just blowing a smoke screen over the fact that there are public costs to the taxpayers by coal mining, drilling, and any other type of resource extraction by industry. It is necessary to generate our power, provide fuel for our transit, and material for our homes. Business, industry and the public must share this burden and how are we going to accomplish that in a way that we can sustain for our grandchildren?

  16. Excellent post! The "green movement" is RIDICULOUS, as you thoroughly show. It is nothing more than money and control for the government. Spain is leading the way for Europe in the green jobs movement and the stats show that they loose more jobs than they create, sad.
