Pot Luck in Hayfork, California!

Yep, they are having pot luck in Hayfork, CA. It you decide to stop in you just may be in for a surprise the town is literally going to pot. The once sleepy little town in northern California's Trinity County has become the "Pot Metropolis" of the United States with more marijuana being grown, smoked and sold than ever before. In short "Mary Jane" has become the small towns no.1 industry. With low real estate prices, local laws allowing possession and growing of medical marijuana business is booming. The local shops and taverns are filled with a smokey cloud, but one with a silver lining as people are spending money while the rest of the nation struggles with recession.

All is not well in Hayfork however, as many of the towns seniors citizens are complaining that the "pot boom" has brought an undesirable element into this small community. The streets are now full of strangers who appear unwashed and foul language is now being heard on the once placid streets. Many local seniors are now afraid to leave their homes at night as the pot growers are armed not only with fire arms, but with attack dogs to protect their large stashes.

Something else has now happened in Hayfork, graduating high school seniors who use to go off to college or to the cities to seek their fortunes are now staying home--you guessed it, to grow Pot!

In recent days mysterious men in suits have been seen on the streets of this tiny town where they seem strangely out of place. The interlopers are driving large black SUV's many with federal government plates leading some residents to wonder if they are FBI or IRS agents. Local law enforcement authorities have been quick to point out however, that these strangers have made no inquires with them. Rumors are flying, with many saying these are secret service agents who are buying large quantities of the magic weed for their boss back in Washington. This cannot be confirmed.

This story is both fact and fiction. The facts are from a FOX News story and the fiction from a twisted mind. Mine!

  1. I would put my money of the vehicles being from the IRS and not the FBI. We have to pay for OBama's plans somehow! :)

  4. I can see a day when marijuana will be legal, at least in certain states. They have the medicinal marijuana available and legal now.

Personally I've never tried any kind of illegal drug and don't want to. The idea that legalizing it will make things all better is a fairy tale.

  6. This is reallya sad state of affairs. This sis the kind of stuff that happens when you ease up on any kind of morality and hide behind a false premisss like medical marijuana, to really push the boundries of decency further and further. This is what Liberal Uopia is.

  7. Legalizing marijuana will make it good for those who smoke it, and it well generate some tax revenue--thats the upside. The downside, however could be more people using a mind altering substance that could lead some down the path to harder drugs and that cost everyone. Personally, I've know many pot smokers over the years and some handle it quite well while others let it control almost every part of their lives, its really a mixed bag.

I really think it's not worth the trouble though.

  9. I think you are right Samuel, I use to be on the other side of the fence years ago, but like many as I've aged I've seen the light. Took a lot of years however. I will however take my gun and bible to the grave with me!

  10. There are thousands of legitimate patients using medical marijuana in California and these types of issues can not overshine that fact. I know several people that refuse to take prescribed drugs as the side effects can be fatal in a lot of cases. NO ONE DIES ON POT people!! However, you see large Pharma being sued everyday for much more harmful drugs that are handed out daily to our loved ones.

WHAT WE NEED IS EDUCATION and we absolutely need tighter laws on who and how medical marijuana is grown but it is way to valuable to just give up on it because of towns like Hayfork.

EDUCATE YOURSELF ON THIS A BIT MORE and you might be surprised as to how helpful medicinal use can be.

    Happy New Year
