"It's The People's Seat"

On rare occasions simple words can be heard above the roar of the crowd and several nights ago in the debate to fill the seat of Teddy Kennedy such words were heard when the moderator David Gergen, a lap dog for the Democrats, asked a question that was intended to put Scott Brown on the defensive but instead led to a memorable response from Scott Brown, the Republican candidate. "It's the people's seat".

Is Scott Brown every man's conservative, I doubt it. In a state long known for its "Liberals and Lobsters" he does however stand apart from the one that came before him, the one that occupied that senate seat he is now seeking. Time and circumstance has made Scott Brown the man of the hour and perhaps his time has come. His time has come at that moment when America stands at the crossroads. Its future unclear with historic traditions hanging in the balance. Yes, Scott could take that seat with the help of the ancestors of those original patriots who threw off the yoke of oppression hundreds of years ago at Boston harbor and founded this great nation. Scott you have it right, its not Kennedy's seat "It's The People's Seat"!

  1. In a state where registered Democrats out number Republicans 3 to 1, this man is about to pull off the upset of the century... Who among us as little as a year ago would think this possible? The tide is turning, people are waking up and there's a resurgency of pride in what it means to be an American... We must not lose momentum, allowing this ground swell to into the force neccessary to regain our country...

Scott Brown is the first of many who will restore our constitution... Martha Coakley will regret the day she tangled with Scott Brown...

  3. My daughter lives in Mass and told me she was going to vote for Scott. She said the ads from Coakley have turned nasty.

It will be a great day if Mr. Brown wins because in the end, he has it right: It is the people's seat.

  4. Of course, the Demorats say that, should he even be elected, he won't be seated until after the final vote on ObamaKare. Imagine that.

  5. I hope Scott Brown can pull this off, but the polls I looked at over last weekend seem to indicate he is still well behind Coakley. I hope he can pull it off.

  6. Never underestimate the corruption that Dems are capable of, it IS Massachusetts after all...

  7. Fred you are right, I suspect many ballot boxes in Boston are already full and will be pulled out in the event of a close election.

  9. You are so very right Teresa, his words win or lose will stand the test of time and be heard above the roar of the crowd.

  10. Ron

Scott Brown hit out the park with "it's the people's seat line. And he's abolutely right. Kennedy, who was one of the biggest created myths in American history, who got away with criminally neglegetn murder of Mary Jo Kepekne, did not own that seat by divine right.

I pray to God that Brown pulls off the upset and send a message that will ring around the world that enough is enough.

  11. Great post as usual, Ron. And I agree, there is much at stake here for us, and I know he can win. Not only this statement, that reflects so much wrong with the dem party, but the way the Croakley campaign is acting. They're running scared, and she's getting crabby and making dumb mistakes. It's his to win at this point. But there are six days to go, so we need to rally around him.

  15. I'm sure that David Rodham Gergen did not intend to float one over the plate like that, but Scott Brown knocked it out of the park!

  16. Amazing, a politician willing to stand up and say it's the people's seat.

    Wow, just wow!

  17. Being from New Hampshire I listen to allot of Boston talk radio and I can tell you that that one comment by Brown has fired up the conservative voters. So much so that they can't wait to vote, they are voting in absentee ballots at a record pace. Brown has a real chance here, but being one of 21 elected Republicans in the state it is still a long shot.
I don't think the Democrats are fired up about Coakley at all, they may not turn out. If that is the case Scott Brown will be the next senator from Massachusetts.
