Saying "No" to Big Government is Saying "Yes" to America!

Democrats for sometime have been trying to label the republicans in congress as the party of "no". Republicans need to wrap themselves in that flag and wear the label proudly. Recently at the CPAC meeting in Washington, Rep. Mike Pence of Indiana echoed this sentiment when he said, "No is way underrated here in Washington. Sometimes 'no' is just what this town needs to hear". I couldn't put it better! Most Americans think that our representatives in Washington are there just to make more laws---laws that will invariably take rights or money from one group and give it to another. When you stop to think about it, this is what most laws do. Restrictions on some so that others will feel better. Money from one group to be spent benefiting another. I ask, it this the American way? Is this what we've come too? Is this corrupt practice to continue?

The simple truth is saying "NO" to borrowing, saying "NO" to spending, saying "NO" to bailouts, and saying "NO" to Obamacare is saying
"YES" to America!
"Some people around here like to call us the party of ‘no.’ Well, I say ‘no’ is way underrated here in Washington, D.C. Sometimes ‘no’ is just what this town needs to hear," he said.

"When it comes to more borrowing, the answer’s ‘no.’ When it comes to more spending, the answer is ‘no.’ When it comes to more bailouts, the answer is ‘no.’ And when it comes to some healthcare summit that is nothing more than a photo op that paves the way to Obamacare, the answer is ‘no,’ " he said.

But, Pence said, it’s not enough to elect Republicans in November; they have to be conservative Republicans.

"To turn this country around, we don’t just need a Republican majority; we need a conservative majority on Capitol Hill," he said. read story at Journal Gazette

  1. I certainly agree with you on this. If we had said no to all these programs that got us where we are today, wouldn't things be so much better. Too many in congress think their job is to create more and more programs to "help", but in reality these programs do not help at all.

  2. The left lives to create more entitlements to get more and more people hooked on these programs. Once involved with them they never want them reduced or taken away. Many of these people feel they are
'entitled' to such programs and the
now that the demoscialistacrats have jumped into this mess without looking or thinking(they never do), the entire country has to suffer. We must say no, our survival is tied in part and parcel to saying NO. Look at England and many other European countries that are now failing after following this model. No, No, No is what must be said and voted by we, the people.

  3. Adults must tell children no. Maybe is some of these progressives (as children),were told no more often we would not have such a mess.

Now these children are in power, it's our responsibility to say NO.

  4. NO, NO, No, NO, NO! I have embraced this idea. Mike Pence summed it up perfectly, there are legitimate reasons to say no, and most of the Democrats' agenda falls into that catagory.
Trestin touched on a topic that I wanted to mention as well-- Democrats like to claim that saying no is always wrong, but just ask any parent where they would be if they never said no to their children.

  5. Mr Pink Eyes I also noticed that in Trestins comment---seems like we do need to treat those in government like children and just say NO sometimes.

We must tell these children the truth about history as well. They are not getting taught American history or the Constitution.

Regressive Liberals have been indoctrinating our children for the last 60+ years that I know of and I'm researching into this.

You can youtube the "Mmm Mmm Mmm" videos and others, so we know it's a fact today.

  7. I liked Mike Pence's comments at CPAC10.

However, Obama, Reid & Pelosi plan to run Obamacare through using reconciliation. They are going to shove it down our throats before 2010 in hopes that once embedded it cannot be reversed. Obama will be able to say you had better vote for me in 2012 or you are going to loose your new health care options. They are betting on greed and envy. I believe Obama already has bailout plans in place for Reid, Pelosi and others that play the game right with him.

  8. You are spot-on Ron.

No is a good thing. I was waiting to see how long it would take the conservatives to turn this into a positive thing for the American people. No to big government, no to obamacare, no to obamanomics, and no to the friggin progressives.

  9. Pence's speech was right on. Why say "yes" to crap? Pubbies should absolutely wear that "No" badge proudly.

  10. Saying "No" and denying the big tent are strong messages coming out of CPAC. The Tea Party movement is priceless in their focus on conservatism - small government, which has no room for "yes" or the "big tent."

I agree with Bill Smith on the psychology behind pushing healthcare through by reconciliation.

  11. I agree and commend Mike Pence for standing up for America and the American people. I am happy with the party of no when it comes to stopping socialism and stopping ripping the constitution to threads by saying no. I say, keep up the great work, of saying NO.

  12. Can't argue with that message Ron, unless off course one is some sort of useless leftist parasite.

    Hear, hear.

BHO's negative refrains (blame the GOP) are wearing thin, I think. I pray.
