EVEN IN DEATH THE VULTURES IN WASHINGTON ARE WAITING TO PICK YOUR POCKET! NEXT LIKE THE NAZI'S IN THE DEATH CAMPS THEY WILL TAKE THE GOLD FILLING FROM YOUR TEETH AND THEN PRY YOUR GUN FROM YOUR COLD DEAD HANDS! DEATH PANELS WILL BECOME THE RULE OF THE DAY AS THESE BASTARDS WILL BE EAGER TO GET YOUR MONEY AND LEAVE YOUR CHILDREN PENNILESS DEPENDING ON A BENEVOLENT STATE FOR THEIR WELFARE. GRIM, YOU BET, BUT THE FUTURE UNDER RUNAWAY SOCIALISM!
They will try to get everything you and I have. They now want to tax gold coins, they are trying to take our 401K and retirement funds. I don't know where it will end.

The last year that I know about, 2008, the estate tax hit a grand total of 2200 families in the entire United States. The average estate of these families was over $16 million.
ReplyDeleteHow many of you knuckleheads are in line to inherit that kind of money? You're being taken for a ride by the really rich.
Green Eagle, stealing from the dead--rich or poor is wrong. Many family farmers who own less than 100 acres will be forced to sell in order to pay that death tax. What in gods name gives the government the right to take what a man has earned his entire life and already paid taxes on---its just political greed so a few politicans came toss some few dollars to their supporters so they can continue to sit in those coveted seats and screw other voters. Taking from one to give to another is not the American way, no matter how rich that person my be. And in reality it destroys jobs and in the end is bad for everyone---socialism just doesn't work and that what you seem to want. Nuff said!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteRon,
ReplyDeleteI have been hearing the lie about the family farmers for forty years now. In all that time no one has been able to produce one single case of a family farm being lost to the inheritance tax.
Once again, you have been conned by a made-up story into supporting something that benefits only the very wealthy. The number one source of financial support for this idea comes from the Walton family, which stands to gain tens of billions of dollars from the elimination of inheritance taxes.
I myself recently received a bill for $150,000 for inheritance tax. I would have rather kept the money, but given that it was the result of a rather substantial inheritance, I am not complaining about this contribution to the maintenance of our country. I only mention this because I don't want you to think that I am just some poor person who is out to soak the rich. This country allowed my family to amass the kind of money that resulted in my tax and I believe it is appropriate that I pay it without complaint.
Green Eagle, I'm happy you were pleased with the forced donation to your country. Some however, would like to decide for themselves how much to give and to whom---you would deny they that right and herein lies the rub. Those in Washington on both sides have indulged in run-a-way spending and many on the right see this an an approaching danger to the state. I see little middle ground here. You seem to think the government knows best how to spend our money and I believe the individual does. The difference between a collectivist and an individualist. We have always been a nation of the latter and that has propelled us to greatness and I do not want to see that change.
ReplyDeleteI normally don't get into back and forths such as this, my wife's health is very bad as is mind and frankly I just don't have the energy or time; but you comments have been civil and thoughtful so I made the exception. I did take a look at your blog and see you have done a great job. I'm retired and have only been blogging for a little over a year. Miss my teaching days sometime! Thanks for the visit to TOTUS and always feel welcome.
Maybe we have something in common. I'm a big college football fan, don't care for the pros. LSU and UF are my schools. Got my BS at LSU and Masters at UF.
As i always say of leftists folks, if they can't kill you when you're in the womb, they'll tax you and screw you over every which way they can, all the way to the grave and beyond.
