Recently geologists from the United States determined there are vast mineral deposits in Afghanistan, estimated to be valued at $1 Trillion Dollars. The deposits include iron, copper, gold, lithium and other valuable metals. Yes, the impoverished country of Afghanistan could very well become the "Saudi Arabia of lithium" and other minerals. At first this sounds great, but upon reflection I think not so fast! Sooner or later we will leave that nation and I have little doubt that forces unfriendly to us will fill the vacuum and those new sources of revenue will in the end be used against us. We found the goodies, but the "GOLD IN THEM THERE HILLS" will at some future date buy the bombs used to kill Americans.
