HOW DOES ONE WRITE ABOUT THE SHIT-STORM THAT'S TAKING PLACE IN EGYPT. WHEN THE WHOLE WORLD INCLUDING ALL THE NEWS MEDIA BOTH RIGHT AND LEFT WANT TO SEE THE THE MUBARAK REGIME TOPPLED NO MATTER THE ULTIMATE CONSEQUENCES. THIS WRITER, FEELS THAT TAKING A STAND IN THE FACE OF ALL THE FORCES ALIGNED AGAINST THE STATUS QUO IN EGYPT WILL ONLY BRING ON THE WRATH OF MOST WHO READ THIS POST IS FOOLISH. NEVERTHELESS I MUST REMIND SOME THAT THE OLD SAYING, "THE ENEMY OF MY ENEMY IS MY FRIEND", MEANS SOMETHING! I WILL NOT TRY TO DEFEND MUBARAK, I WILL NOT CONDOM HIS PAST ACTIONS AGAINST THE FORCES OF DEMOCRACY, I WILL NOT DEFEND HIS PATHETIC HUMAN RIGHTS RECORD, I WILL NOT TRY AND JUSTIFY HIS BALLOT BOX STUFFING'S IN PAST ELECTIONS; BUT I WILL DEFEND HIS PEACE-KEEPING EFFORTS WITH ISRAEL AND HIS ASSISTANCE IN OUR "WAR ON TERROR". WE ARE IN A WAR AGAINST RADICAL ISLAM AND MOST IN THIS COUNTRY SUPPORT THE JEWISH STATE, IN THE MIDDLE EAST, BUT THE ACTIONS OF ANY NEW REGIME BORN OUT OF THE POWER VACUUM THAT WOULD BE FILLED FOLLOWING THE IMMEDIATE DEPARTURE OF MUBARAK IN JUST A GAMBLE WE CANNOT AFFORD TO TAKE.

I don't think that Mubarak should be thrown out of office right now but I do think it is good that he isn't running for reelection.
Radical Islam takes over Egypt, the world changes for ever. Iran has a very long reach.
"The enemy of my enemy is my friend", is how we do it so many times I'm afraid.
Shit-Storm indeed. Scary stuff. :(
