Recently came across this excellent post over at Wild Thing's Theodore's World it reflects not only Obama's dislike of Bibi Netanyahu but of the Jewish State. His Arab roots are showing as he brushes aside our strongest ally in the Middle East. Read this article and check out the comments at Theodore's World. Bibi be gone: Obama team plotting overthrow of Israel's Netanyahu
The administration of President Barack Obama has launched what officials termed a psychological warfare campaign meant to topple Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Sources in the administration and Congress asserted that the White House and State Department have sought to destabilize Netanyahu's government by forcing him to agree to an indefinite freeze on Jewish construction in the West Bank and most of Jerusalem as well as the establishment of a Palestinian state by 2012. They said the campaign sought to replace Netanyahu with opposition leader and former foreign minister Tsipi Livni.
"Bibi is extremely vulnerable to pressure," a source familiar with the White House effort said. "We know this from his first term in office and believe he will collapse this time as well."
The sources said the administration's strategy aimed to de-legitimize Netanyahu in his government and right-wing constituency. They said Obama and his aides have sought to portray Netanyahu as a weak and unstable politician who will destroy relations with Washington as Israel seeks U.S. support for a military option against Iran.
"There seems to be a general belief in the circle around the president that the democratically-elected government in Israel is drunk at the wheel," Steven Rosen, a veteran pro-Israeli lobbyist now with the Middle East Forum, said. "They clearly will use pressure tactics to bring Israel around." In April 2010, former U.S. ambassador to Israel Martin Indyk began a series of attacks on Netanyahu in the Israeli media. Indyk, a former assistant secretary of state under then-President Bill Clinton, has called for the toppling of Netanyahu while his right-wing partners accept a more pliant prime minister.
"Indyk was sent by Obama and encouraged by his American Jewish supporters, particularly [former Rep.] Robert Wexler, to do this," the source said. In January 2010, Wexler resigned from Congress to become head of the Center for Middle East Peace and Economic Cooperation. The center was founded by Obama supporter Daniel Abraham and a delegation met Netanyahu in February.
The sources said the administration's campaign has included invitations to Defense Minister Ehud Barak to the White House, where he met with Obama on April 26. Barak has been regarded as the most pro-U.S. minister in Netanyahu's Cabinet and has been lobbying ministers to accept Obama's proposals.
"It's not going to be easy to turn this thing around," Rosen told a briefing on April 21. "Some of my friends in Jerusalem believe this crisis will go on for an extended period."
The anti-Netanyahu fervor has alarmed pro-Israeli members in Congress, particularly from the Democratic Party. Several of the Democrats have reported a sharp drop in funds by Jewish donors for congressional elections in November.
"This [campaign against Netanyahu] is counterproductive and has to stop," Sen. Charles Schumer, a New York Democrat who has threatened to issue a condemnation of the White House, said. Some in the pro-Israeli community detect an anti-Semitic tinge to the White House campaign, despite the involvement of Jewish aides. On April 21, National Security Advisor James Jones stunned an audience at the pro-Israel Washington Institute when he told a joke of a Jewish merchant who tricked a thirsty Taliban fighter into buying a tie.
"I wish that I had not made this off the cuff joke at the top of my remarks," Jones later said. "I apologize to anyone who was offended by it. It also distracted from the larger message I carried that day: That the United States' commitment to Israel's security is sacrosanct." Former State Department official Aaron Miller said Obama has surrounded himself with aides who blame Netanyahu for the suspension of the Arab-Israeli peace process. Miller said many of the aides had encountered Netanyahu during his first tenure as prime minister from 1996 to 1999.
"They had seen the Benjamin Netanyahu movie before and were determined not to let their chance at Middle East peace end the same way," Miller said in the magazine Foreign Policy. "Confronted with Netanyahu again, Obama and his team needed no encouragement to talk tough on the growing Israeli settlements in the West Bank, an issue that experts inside and outside government were clamoring for Obama to raise as the first step in his renewed push for peace. Fresh from his victory on health care, he's [Obama] king of the world again and in no mood to let the king of Israel frustrate his plans."
Wild Thing's comment.........
A little something about BiBi:
Netanyahu was born in 1949 in Tel Aviv to Zila and professor Benzion Netanyahu, the middle child of three children. He was initially raised and educated in Jerusalem. Between 1956 and 1958, and again in 1963-67, his family lived in the United States in Cheltenham, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Philadelphia, where he attended and graduated from the Cheltenham High School and was active in a debate club.
Obama wants someone he can control - someone as leader of Israel who will stand by and do nothing as Barack Obama gives all of the promised land to the Muslims.
Bibi refuses to be a puppet- so Obama is trying to get rid of him and install someone who will not utter a peep while the Muslims steal Jewish land and drive the Jews into the sea.
Found this great post today over at Down Under on the Right Side as usual a great post with biting commentary!Belgium pushes back against islam
Daily Mail - Belgium became the first European country to impose a full ban on wearing a burka last night. Its parliament approved a draft law which states women can be jailed for hiding their faces in public. The bill - which must be rubber-stamped by the Belgian senate - is set to become law by July. Centre-Right MP Daniel Bacquelaine said last night: 'The notion of recognising people in the street is essential to maintain public order.
I'd first like to note that if such a law were even proposed in America, liberal hypocrites the world over, particularly the ones in Europe, will be caterwauling for years about the racist, bigoted, nazi Americans. Unless off course it was their favorite, empty-suit hero zero who was the architect of it.
None the less, glad to hear Belgium has finally grown a pair and decided to stand up to the islamists, here's to hoping more western nations follow their lead and stand up to islam. If muslims don't like it, they are free to leave, plenty of islamic paradises with sharia and all that. I just hope that this does become law and that they really do enforce it. However I should add as well, don't pop the champagne corks yet folks, there is another problem with this that can't be ignored.
You see Belgium is part of the EU, apart from all the warmth and fuzziness of belonging to the EU, they are subject to EU oversight and apparently if someone were to challenge this in their human rights court, it could well be overturned. And I believe there's a good chance that'll happen. The peoples views, democracy and all that be damned. If the liberal fascists in the EU decide to snuggle up to the islamists, well there goes your burka ban.
Now you know why Conservatives and Patriots the world over oppose organizations like the EU, when push comes to shove, some unelected bureaucratic scumbag in a faraway office decides the very fate of your culture and country.
Yesterday I reported on a recent shooting in Brookhaven, Mississippi of an elderly white woman by two young black men. This is just one example of black on white crime sweeping the state and the nation as well. Something that is seldom, if ever pointed out in the MSM or even in various local publications. They avoid this issue like the plague, unless the victim is black and the perpetrators are white. Then the news is quickly flashed coast to coast and invariably national black leaders such as Al Sharpton and Jessie Jackson will be leading marches in some small community shouting racism as they lock arms and parade down main street USA.
The figures on "white on black violence" and "black on white violence" are not available, but one need only look at the various news accounts coming from communities across the nation to see that "black on white violence" is far more common and widespread than the reverse. When confronted about this fact, leaders in the black community will quickly side step the issue by saying that "black on black" crime and "white on white" crime is far more common. That is a given and easily understood. This post however is about the steadily increasing violence against whites committed by young black gangsters. The reverse is rare, and you can rest assured that such incidents will be thoroughly reported by those in the MSM and their allies.
We have hate crimes laws on the books and I would suggest that crimes such as the recent shooting of Eva Pullen in Brookhaven, MS may very fall under such statutes. I have never supported such laws knowing that they would seldom be used in cases involving "black on white" violence, but would almost always be applied only when a black was the victim.
Many have noticed this disturbing trend in recent years and its time for some in the media to speak out and forget political correctness and just let the facts speak for themselves. Media such as local newspapers are for the most part bound by facts and I contend the facts are there if only one chooses to look for them. And most papers do have editorial sections where the various writers can express their opinions based on the facts at hand. It's time to step forward and confront that which is staring us in the face. Broad daylight shootings on the main street of small town USA cannot and must not be tolerated.
Several days ago violence came to the sleepy Mississippi town of Brookhaven when two young men assaulted and shot an elderly woman four times as she set in her car in a small parking lot near the heart of city. The shocking thing was the age of the victim, 85 and the fact the shooting was done in broad daylight with the elderly woman's purse the apparent target of the assailants. Apparently, they intended to kill the victim as they shot the poor woman four times. Two men have been arrested and charged with armed robbery and assault, attempted murder charges are being considered, but as of this time the DA has not made a decision.
My readers will note, that I don't normally post on local events, but with this I make an exception. This shooting occurred only blocks from my front door and Mrs Pullen, the victim of this outrageous shooting, lived close by. I don't know her but my prayers go out to her and her family.
I would like to thank those at the Daily Leader for their coverage of this tragic story and know they will follow up as events warrant.
Friends of an elderly woman shot in downtown Brookhaven Saturday say she is in good spirits in spite of her frightening weekend.
First Baptist Church officials said Eva Pullen underwent surgery Sunday, and that they would know more about her progress after visits Monday morning. However, the 85-year-old's attitude has remained positive, said church secretary Ann Dunbar.
"We've got a minister on his way up there now to go see her," she said. "I've heard she's had some pain but is doing fine."
Pullen was sitting in her car in a handicapped parking spot in the parking lot between the Brookhaven Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce and Fred's on Whitworth Avenue Saturday just before noon when she was shot four times by two assailants who took her purse.
Brothers Quincy Walker, 22, and David Walker, 20, were arrested by Brookhaven police and charged with aggravated assault and armed robbery within hours of the incident.
Dunbar also commented on Pullen's character and ability to stay positive.
"I'd be mad," she said. "But Ms. Eva's just not that way. She's a forgiving person."
Meanwhile, the Brookhaven community is still shocked at the incident, said Downtown Association representative Jay Perkins.
"Everyone's concerned, especially those who live downtown, but we're glad that it was resolved quickly and we're hoping that it's isolated," Perkins said. "But I think that you really do have to look at this as an isolated event, because these random things can happen anywhere."
Brookhaven Police Department officials said the incident does appear to be anomalous.
"It's unfortunate what happened, but we had people in those areas and that's why we responded so quickly," said Police Chief Pap Henderson. "We provide those services every day in every area, and we'll continue to provide the services that we need in this town. This wasn't called for, and we want people to feel comfortable in their hometown."
Henderson said no additional charges have been filed yet against the Walker brothers, but that the situation is still under investigation. He said, however, that police are comfortable that they have made all the arrests needed in the incident.
"This is an unfortunate incident that happened, and I'm very sorry about it, but I'm very comfortable in our safety," the chief said. "Brookhaven is a good place, it's always been a good place, and it will continue to be a good place."
In the meantime, he said he has been in contact with members of the public who just wanted to know that they are still safe.
"Several people have contacted me, and I can understand them being nervous and upset," he said. "But in a situation like this, if someone breaks the law, we're going to do something about it." Source of story Daily Leader .
