Democrats Have a Tiger by the Tail!

Today Obama will sit down with Republican party leaders at the White House in a vain effort to find compromise on the DOA Obamacare bill. This is a bipartisan effort in name only as the Obama has already decided to use the nuclear option, known as reconciliation. At a time when the president should be hosting a jobs summit and not a health care summit the president is desperately hanging on to health care despite the unemployment rate hoovering around 10%.

The Democrats just don't get it. The people simply aren't buying what they are selling, but the president is stubbornly pushing ahead with something the American people have already rejected as reflected in the defeats in New Jersey, Virginia and most importantly Massachusetts. Despite all of these defeats and the ailing economy the president is pushing ahead. It seems he is unable to push back against the most liberal members of his party or perhaps he simply does want too.

The failure of the health care bill is not a Republican victory, but a Democratic defeat, for the Democrats have failed themselves. They have unskillfully gotten themselves in a pickle and are desperately trying to find a way out. They will be damned by their base if the bill is not passed and damned by America if it does. They have a "Tiger by the Tail"!

It is becoming increasingly more evident with each passing day that Obama has resigned himself to the fact that he is going to be a one term president... That having been said, beside the fact that he has never left campaign mode, he knows that he will never again be in the position to make such a power grab... This healthcare bill has nothing to do with your health, it is the progressive's greed for power... They don't give a tinker's damn about you, me or anyone but themselves...

I'm at work, so I can't watch the dog and pony show at the Blair House, for all I know, the Republicans may have already bolted... I guess I better get off of here and check with FOXNEWS.com...

I watched as much as I could, but I had to leave the house around 11:00. I think the Republicans came out looking much better than the Democrats, and especially Obama. Fred is right, Obama was out of his leave and MAD about it.

You are right, Democrats have failed themselves on this issue. They had the supermajority but they still could not pass healthcare reform, the can only blame themselves.
The American people are now opposed to this legislation by such large margins that it is political suicide for the Democrats to still think this is the number one issue facing America. They are ignoring the number on eissue in America-- the economy-- and they are doinf it because of the arrogant, stubborn man in the White House who is unwilling to admit that he made a mistake in pursuing this issue ahead of the economy. Republicans can capitalize on this if they just keep up the offensive.

Watching this on the web was extremely excruciating. Each time the Republicans came out with facts and sketched out their good ideas for reform, the Zombiecrats blasted them with sob stories of some poor sucker. Obama even through his own daughter under the buss ... again. It was pitiful. But I'm glad America watched. because they saw who the real reformers are, and who the blowhards are.

I didn't get a chance to see the summit, due to having to work all day. I did see a portion of Paul Ryan's segment and they did their best to shut him down quickly. Even during the short two minutes or so he was able to speak, he came across as knowing his stuff.

I honestly believe the Democrats may very well intend to shove this onto the American people, no matter if we want it or not. They seem to think they know what is best for us, even more so than we do ourselves.

I watched every minute of it. Finally switched to FOX streaming live. I was really proud of Republicans, but the decision for reconciliation was already made, assuming we didn't give Obama what he wanted.

He knew we would not. Now Nancy has to come up with the votes to give him what he wants.

This was a pack of disingenuous liars today. I'm glad it was out there for all to see, and there are quotes we can used from this for a very long time - at least until we can repeal the devastation they will rain down upon us.

Did you notice that Charlie Rangel called it National Health Care?

Ron, they do have a Tiger by the Tail and he's about to bit their butts.
