MANY ON THE LEFT AND RIGHT THINK THAT MODERN REVOLUTIONS TO OVER THROW A DESPOT ARE GREAT AND THEY EAGERLY SUPPORT ANY SO-CALLED "PEOPLE'S REVOLT" TO OUST A LONG TIME DICTATOR WITH LITTLE CONCERN ABOUT WHAT WILL FOLLOW THE TYRANT. THE RECENT REVOLUTIONS IN NORTH AFRICA AND IN SOME AREAS IN THE MIDDLE EAST HAVE GARNERED GREAT SUPPORT NOT ONLY AMONG THE MSM, BUT WITH MANY ON THE CONSERVATIVE RIGHT. I WOULD URGE THOSE WHO EAGERLY SUPPORT THESE "PEOPLES REVOLUTIONS" TO TAKE A LOOK AND HISTORY AND REMEMBER THE EUPHORIA OF MANY WHEN HITLER AND MUSSOLINI CAME TO POWER IN THE 1930'S---ALSO WHEN LENIN REPLACED THE CZARS AND THE ISLAMIC RADICALS ASCENDED TO POWER IN IRAN.
WE HAVE THROWN OUR SUPPORT BEHIND THE REVOLUTIONARIES IN LIBYA NOT KNOWING WHO THEY ARE AND WHAT THEIR TRUE MOTIVATION IS. THIS IS NOT WISE AND, IN FACT DANGEROUS.. IT'S TIME TO STEP ABOUT AND NOT RUSH IN AS FOOLS OFTEN DO.

But they are sending good, brave, tough, American men and women who should not be there.
I think the Fools on the left know exactly what they're doing ... and it's very dangerous.

I think Odie's correct. Those on the Left are dastardly hooligans.
I'm all for Libyans and whoever else overthrowing their oppressors, so long as what they want is real freedom.
Oh and also, so long as we're not paying for it and getting sucked into their crap.
I would rather look to the revolutions in eastern Europe and the overthrow of communism which might have happened sooner had we not left the Hungarians to their fate in 1956 and left Czechoslovakia in the lurch during the Prague Spring just as we did with Iraqs Marsh Arabs decades later.
We might also ponder how much further down the road to liberal democracy South America might now be had not Uncle Sam kept sticking its oar in on the other side.
