The Stealthy Troll

Recently I have come into contract with a stealthy troll via a long time "former" friend of mine, Stogie at Saber Point. Normally, I don't put much stock in trolls and seldom engage with the little weasels. This guy is the exception. He has evidently been on numerous visits to my blog looking for post that contain some racial references and then checks out my blogroll and proceeds to go to some of those sites where he engages the unsuspecting target with a very good dialog on race. He is never directly confrontational there, but his goal is to point out things about someone else's blog in hope of turning one against the other. Sadly my former friend Stogie took the bait and the stealthy little troll reeled in a big one and Stogie dropped me from his blog roll. While at the same time saying he doesn't link to friends of Texas Fred, however I see some of Freds friends on his links. Stogie at Saber Point is a nice guy and most of his post are great and well thought out, but he is evidently weak and unsure of some of his positions and subject to turn on a dime. The troll actually did me a favor and I am happy to find out the truth about someone who I thought to be a strong conservative, but who is in reality something quite different. I will not provide the link of the nasty little troll, but he is know as "Mnut". Be careful when he visits your site for he is a very good writer, but his intentions are not good and as soon as he has accomplished his mission he will leave for his next victim. I am leaving you a link to the post of Stogie's where he folded to this troll. Stogie's Fold

This post is not directed against Stogie at Saber Point, but simply a troll-warning to be on watch for this sneaky little weasel.
The following is a copy of my final comment on Saber Point. I'm putting it up here because I'm not sure it will be posted there:
This is my final comment on your blog Stogie. Don't know if you will post it or not, but rest assured it will be posted on mine. You write some very good articles and I've enjoyed reading them in the past. I do respect your writing skills and very sorry that you are stuck out there on the west coast in the Bay Area. I have made many visits to your blog over the past months and left numerous comments on your blog. Your visits to mine have been sparse and usually only when I mentioned a specific post of mine that I wanted you to check out. I'm very aware that my writing skills are not in your league and that you may look down on my feeble effort at blogging. That's OK. I must tell you however, that I try to make return visits to all who visit my blog---I'm not always successful, but I do try. Sorry, Stogie I can't say the say for you. As for my views on race, I think they fall in the main stream and I am honestly shocked that you let a little sneaker troll define my attitude on this. Sure my comments are straight forward and devoid of political correctness. A thing which you evidently value---so be it. I've been called racist, redneck, and recently hillbilly by Mnut on your blog something which is evidently OK in your world of political correctness. And yet through all of this I refused to use the "N" word except in satire pieces which those like Mnut take out of context. Stogie, my "ex-friend" you have been had by one of the oldest tricks in the book and I'm surprised you took the bait.

Stogie doesn't like me... :)

I make NO secret of the fact that I detest Michelle Malkin, I think she's often right, but she is shrill and quite nerve racking, and a while back she released, deliberately, the personal information of some of her attackers. That is the wrong thing to do, by anyone...

Stogie contacted me about Malkin and wanted me to read and link a story of her's and I said NO, I don't DO Malkin... He sent me 2 or 3 more emails and in the last one demanded to know WHY I hated Malkin so, and I told him...

I said something to the effect of, "She a shrill hack and a hatchet faced gook!"

Stogie went ballistic, he told me what a racist I am, well, imagine that... He told me his wife was from the Philippines and he didn't appreciate my remarks one bit.. He shouldn't have pushed the issue, he asked, I told him...

And I think it really pissed him off when I told him I was sorry, not for what I said, but because HE had to marry one of the ugly-assed Flips...

Oh well... Now you know why...

Ron,
I am sorry that you lost a blogging friend. That he gave into a little devilish troll. He fell for his tricks. You are right. He is obviously not a strong conservative. Who knows.. Maybe he'll see the light eventually? Maybe when he gets screwed by a troll he thinks of as a friend?

TexasFred,
These trolls like to antagonize the hell out of you, in order to provoke you. Stogie must have a grudge for some reason. Stogie needs to realize All Americans are created equal. No person deserves special treatment just because of the color of their skin. This guy needs some sense knocked into him.

Thanks Teresa, I don't usually get envoled in these confrontations, but this time I just couldn't stand down. My blood pressure is already high and these things, well.....

I am sorry to hear about this Ron! That is really too bad!

Being new to the blog-o-sphere I was unaware that these trolls were up to such shenanigans!

I'll keep my eyes open for this now for sure.

As far as race goes,... I'm really tired of people playing the race card these days. It sets their "race" back 200 years every time they do it. White, black, red, green, yellow, cucumber! The last time I looked we were all in this together and we better learn to make the best of it. Also, the last time I looked we were all one "race." The human race!

I could care less what "color" someone is as long as they treat me like I treat them. Like a human being.

Am I proud of my skin color? Damn straight I am! I'll not apologize for that ever. I don't expect anyone else to either. (They can call me what they want to for that comment). I just hate when it's used to gain an advantage on another. That boils my water for sure.

Integrity is my way and my yes is my yes and my no is my no.

Go GOP!
Go Newt!
God bless America!

TRL, normally when these little freaks come by the drop off some litte nasty comment trying to draw you in to some type of discussion--I just delete their comment and its forgotten. This one however had a new line of attack in that he came by scouted by site and found some remarks in several satire post then went to my blogroll and found a target for the attack. He was very smooth in plotting his attack and found a weak target, one who he sway and used his race bait and my ex-friend who is basically a nice guy rose to the bait. I had to respond.

Anony, and he is like some mother-in-laws trying to stir up trouble. Thats all these little weasles do. They seldom confront the issues.

I don't know for sure, but it sounds like that troll could be related to my mother-in-law. She's a real piece of work *UGH*.

Ron Russell said...

Never knew my mother-in-law could be a blessing. Guess I need to ask my wife, or maybe not!

I had a recent interesting troll experience as well. Not as damaging, mind you, but interesting none the less.

I think there is a greater trolling effort now. I think many of us have been seeing more and more troll activities. In this situation, it really sounds like this was a psyop kind of thing- Create dissent and discord. That would fit the left's agenda rather nicely.

If we are at each others throats, we are not fighting the left.

The list of people that Fred has pissed off is long and illustrious. Here's the rub: People piss each other off all the damned time, and then they get over it. We even say stuff that others don't like. Oh well.

Fred doesn't like "gooks?" What a shock. What time frame was he in the military?

Talk to me in 20 years about muslims and iraqis! You'll not likely hear any love from me on THAT topic!

Trolls have their inherent comedic value, but that's about it. It's a shame that somebody has labeled you on the basis of association with another blogger that they disagree with. I would think that somebody would need to disagree with YOU in order to sever the ties.

Just my two cents' worth; your mileage may vary.

Especially during the 2008 campaign, my blog was visited a lot by different people, doing their best to accuse me of being racist. Their reasoning was that since I was not supporting Obama, I had to be. I was quick to point them to some of my articles that clearly showed why I did not support the man and they went away.

Does anyone else find it strange that these trolls never seem to have a blog of their own? If they have so much to say to the world, why not start their own blog? It's free and easy to do.

It is too bad that a troll was able to come between the two of you. I don't think that Mnut has vistited me yet, if he has I haven't paid him much attention. Thanks for the waning, I will be on the lookout.

We've all had trolls, I generally ignore them. When no one takes their bait they usually go away on their own.

We all disagree at times, but unlike the Left, most Conservatives are not mind-numbed robots. We can disagree, argue even, and still be friends. That's free speech.

Old friends should trump new trolls every single time.

Ron, sorry to be son long getting in on this post. Had my car in the shop yesterday, today, of course they could not figure out what was wrong with it. So I guess I drive it until something really goes wrong and it's obvious what the problem is.

We're expecting company tomorrow for a few days. The monsoon rains continue. What a mess outside. It will take me a full day to get all these leaves up.

My folks were WWII and Korea Vets, I did 'nam... and a few other yet to be disclosed places..

I have an inherent hatred for Asiatic people, if Stogie doesn't like nor understand that, too damned bad...

Vets of this time frame have names for Muslims that you just don't see on the blogs, but you hear it in the field all the time...

Shit Skins is the 1st one that comes to mind..

You know somehow Fred, I figured Just John had it right--we all have our likes and dislikes and thats why the First Amendment needs to be respected and those who seek to restrict freedom of express in the name of political correctness are totally out of line and out of step with the founders. I'm posting on just this thing tomorrow.

Good luck with your car Debbie, I have to go to the mechanics---you are really at their mercy.

Sounds familiar. I had one who stalked the hell out of me for weeks. The day I got into it with him he hit my blog a grand total of 160 times. He still spams my blog ad tries to mailbomb me occasionally. There are some real wackjobs online fo sho. All this was because I whupped his ass in a debate on abortion. Can't expect too much from a libtard from Boston I guess.
